LJUBLJANA, Slovenia — October 20, 2026 — Today we announce the commercial availability of the Waboost "Limera", a plug-and-play water quality monitoring station for aquaculture, agriculture, wastewater and food & beverage operators. The sensor box connects any combination of industrial RS-485 Modbus sensors and streams live readings and alerts to Waboost Cloud. It starts at €400, with cloud access at €9 per device per month.

Sensors daisy-chain over a single cable run, each shipping with its own splitter, so adding a sensor means plugging in the next cable and selecting it in the app. Operators can start with one sensor and add more as needs grow.

"Data is where you should start as a business owner: before making any key decision, so you don't spend time and resources on something that may or may not work. For business owners to scale this kind of decision-making, sensor boxes need to be affordable, easy to order and easy to configure. Together with our engineering team, we did real groundwork to make that possible. We had to step away from traditional PLC controllers and ship a complete operating system. That unlocked an ocean of available hardware and modern development tools that make further development a breeze and bring costs down"
— Philip Kopylov, Project Manager

Built for wet, dirty, remote sites

  • Industrial core: Recomputer R1013, fanless, rated −30 to +70 °C, with a hardware watchdog for unattended self-recovery

  • Rugged connections: M12 connectors throughout — the dust- and waterproof standard used in trucks and agricultural machinery

  • Weatherproof enclosure: IP65 / NEMA 4 ABS housing for wall, pole or DIN-rail mounting

  • Connectivity anywhere: Wi-Fi and dual Ethernet built in; optional 4G/LTE

  • Off-grid power: optional Solar Pack with 100 W panel and 3–5 days of autonomy without sun

  • 2-year warranty

Broad sensor support, no lock-in

The box works with any RS-485 Modbus sensor, with no custom drivers or firmware changes. A pre-configured catalog from Aqualabo and Supmea covers dissolved oxygen, pH, ORP, turbidity, conductivity, salinity, TDS, TSS, ammonia-nitrogen, COD, BOD, TOC, dissolved ozone and more. Modbus TCP & RTU for SCADA integration, plus HTTP API are available on request.

Waboost Cloud

Waboost Cloud turns readings into live dashboards, historical trends and a full audit trail. Operators set thresholds on any parameter and get alerts by WhatsApp, SMS, email or in the web app. There are no limits on devices, sensors, users or alerts.

Local assembly for distributors

Waboost is also inviting distributors and system integrators to offer the sensor box to their own clients. Partners can assemble units locally from standard components, and Waboost provides the software and Waboost Cloud access. This cuts shipping costs and lead times and avoids moving hardware across borders. Interested partners can apply at waboost.com/become-a-distributor or contact
